President Joe Biden spoke this week on the state of the U.S. economy and what his administration plans to do to address it. He outlined how the impact of the pandemic informs his interpretation of the data his administration has collected. He gave five specific steps that he plans to take to address the U.S. job market.
“We need the American Jobs Plan,” said President Biden, unveiling his proposal for a new legislative package. He stated that the American Jobs Plan “is an eight-year investment strategy to make sure working people of this country get to share in the benefits of a rising economy, and to put us in a position to win the competition with China and the rest of the world for the 21st century.”
